Product Overview
A media wall fire earns its place every day, not only on cold evenings. The Avita 120RW is built around that idea. Its Chromalight Plus system offers eight ember colours, and the flames will run with no heat at all when the room is warm. Come winter, the 2kW thermostatic heater takes the chill off, with weekly heating programmes so the room is ready when you sit down. Behind non-reflective glass, the fuel bed settles into a steady glow. It is a fire for film nights and slow Sundays, and you are welcome to talk it over at our Taunton showroom.

IlluminOak Log-Effect
The standard fuel bed uses Onyx's IlluminOak logs, each lit from within so the glow pulses gently through the grain, much as embers do on a real log fire. Paired with the Chromalight Plus ember bed, it gives the flames real depth in any of the eight colour settings, and it asks nothing of you — no dusting, no arranging, no replacing.

One Fire, Three Installation Styles
The Avita is designed for media walls and can be built three ways. Our in-house team will advise which arrangement suits your room at the free home survey.
Single-Sided
The classic arrangement: the fire set flush into the wall and viewed from the front. It suits most living rooms and the simplest media wall builds.
Two-Sided Corner
Set at the end of a wall with glass on two sides, so the flames carry round the corner. A good way to link a seating area with the rest of an open-plan room.
Three-Sided Panoramic
Glass on three sides gives the widest possible view of the fuel bed. The most architectural of the three, and the one we would choose for a statement wall.
Frame Options
Edge+ Frame (Supplied)
Supplied with the fire as standard, the Edge+ frame gives the glass a slim, neat border that sits cleanly against the wall finish. Most rooms need nothing more.
Edge XL Frame (Optional)
An optional deeper frame that lends the fire more presence on the wall. Worth considering in larger rooms, or where a wide media wall wants more visual weight.

Add the Mood Lighting System and thirteen colours of light wash the wall around the fire — or let them drift slowly through the spectrum as the evening settles.

What sizes does the Onyx Avita come in?
The Avita is made in three widths: the 120RW at 1226mm, the 160RW at 1626mm and the 190RW at 1926mm. All three share the same flame system, heater and controls, so the choice comes down to the width of your wall. We can talk through the proportions at the showroom or during your free home survey.
Can the Avita be installed as a one, two or three-sided fire?
Yes. The same fire can be built single-sided, as a two-sided corner or as a three-sided panoramic feature. The surround is constructed around it during the media wall build, so it is a decision best made early. Our in-house team installs all three arrangements and will advise which suits your room.
What is the difference between the standard logs and the Real Logs option?
The standard IlluminOak bed uses internally lit log-effect pieces that glow from within. The Luxury Logscape upgrade fits real logs for the look of natural timber over the embers. Both work with all eight ember colours and the spectrum mode, so it is a matter of taste rather than performance.
How much heat does the Avita 120RW give out?
Up to 2kW, thermostatically controlled, so the fire holds the room at the temperature you set rather than running at full power all evening. There is also a fan-only setting for the warmer months, so you can keep the flames without the heat.
Can I control the Avita with an app?
Yes. The MUS Flame app, for iOS and Android, controls the flames, lighting, heat and heating programmes from your phone. There is also a touch panel on the fire itself and an Eco remote handset, so however you prefer to run it, the control is there.
Does the Avita need a chimney or any building work?
No chimney or flue is needed — the Avita is fully electric. It is designed to recess into a media wall or false chimney breast, which is part of the appeal: the wall gives you somewhere to run cables, house the television and add shelving or lighting. We design and build these walls in-house.
