Product Overview
Proportion does more for a media wall than any feature list. The 160RW's flame picture balances a large television and gives the ember bed depth, yet sits comfortably in a standard room. Chromalight Plus offers eight ember colours, the logs glow from within, with optional crackling sound when the evening calls for it. Heat comes from a 2kW thermostatic unit, or not at all, if the flames alone are enough. IlluminOak Log-Effect
The standard IlluminOak bed lights each log from within, so the glow rises through the logs themselves rather than sitting beneath them. It gives the flame picture its depth, works across all eight ember colours and the spectrum cycle, and asks no upkeep of you at all.

Single-Sided
Front-facing and flush with the wall: the neatest build of the three, and the right choice for most media walls we see in Somerset.
Three-Sided Panoramic
Open on three sides, the flame picture becomes a peninsula of fire. It needs planning early, and our team will handle the whole build.
Edge XL Slot-In
With the optional Edge XL frame, the fire slots straight into a prepared opening — the quickest of the three builds, and the tidiest.
Set the Mood
With the Mood Lighting System fitted, thirteen colours wash the wall above and below the fire — or drift slowly through the spectrum while the flames hold centre.

What sizes does the Onyx Avita come in?
Three widths: 1226mm in the 120RW, 1626mm in this 160RW and 1926mm in the 190RW. Flames, heating and controls are identical across the range, so the decision is about your wall. For most living rooms, this middle width is where we would start, and we will measure and advise at your free home survey.
Can the Avita be installed as a one, two or three-sided fire?
Yes, all three from the same fire. Single-sided reads as a classic front-facing fire; a two-sided build wraps the flames round a corner; three-sided makes it panoramic. The choice changes how the wall is built around it, so it pays to decide early. Our in-house team installs all three.
What is the difference between the standard logs and the Real Logs option?
IlluminOak is the standard bed: log-effect pieces lit from inside, so they glow with the flames. The Luxury Logscape option upgrades to real logs, with the natural variation of real timber. Both sit under the same eight ember colours and spectrum mode. You are choosing a look, not a specification.
How much heat does the Avita 160RW give out?
Up to 2kW under thermostatic control: set a temperature and the fire holds it, rather than running flat out. A fan-only mode moves air without heat, and the flames can run entirely on their own. With weekly programmes warming the room before you sit down, it behaves itself all year.
Can I control the Avita with an app?
Yes. The MUS Flame app, free for iOS and Android, runs the flames, lighting, heat and timer from your phone. If you prefer hardware, there is an Eco remote in the box and a touch panel on the fire itself. Most people end up using a mix of all three.
Does the Avita need a chimney or any building work?
None at all. The 160RW is electric, so there is no flue, no chimney and no gas connection to plan. It does recess into a media wall or false chimney breast, which is where the television, cabling and shelving live too. We design and build the whole thing in-house.
Can I see the Avita on display near Taunton?
